Spotlight: Taylor Noelle (05/12/16)

Taylor Noelle is a 20 year old pop singer/songwriter born and raised in Los Angeles. She moved to Nashville a few years ago for her senior year of high school, immediately falling in love with the city,  she decided to stay in the area for college to study music business. In her time in Nashville, she has had the opportunity to play at esteemed local venues such as The Listening Room, 3rd & Lindsley, The Country, Cafe Coco and at the legendary Bluebird Cafe. Now she's released her debut EP 'Out Of My System and celebrated the launch with a gig at The End in Nashville; Spring 2017 will see Taylor take off for London to explore and conquer new hearts with her distinctive sound...

'Out Of My System' EP Review:
Taylor's debut EP opens with 'Too Good', an upbeat, catchy track with soulful vocals and groovy bass lines throughout. Followed by the stunning lead single 'I Fall', delicate guitar topped with smooth vocals and additional strings and a gentle beat pulling the track together. 'Won't Waste My Time' is a jazz infused pop track with hints of rock'n'roll, and one of my favourites from the EP, the contrast throughout the track shows the scale of versatility Taylor's music has. Closing with 'Covers Me', a slower track with a old school R'n'B vibe to it. Again there's a contrast between guitar layers, a really neat funky bass line, stunning piano and warm layered vocals.
This EP is a fantastic showcase of Taylor's sound and is reminiscent of Tori Kelly and Amy Winehouse mixed with some other great musicians whilst still being a unique sound and collection of tracks. I'm looking forward to hearing more music from Taylor in the future!
