Spotlight: Novo Amor (26/10/15)

Novo Amor, a.k.a. Ali Lacey, is a British multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer. Over the past year alone, Lacey has grabbed the attention of NME, Indie Shuffle, The Line of Best Fit, Digital Spy and Q amongst others. Novo Amor's version of the Guns 'n' Roses classic 'Welcome To The Jungle', recorded especially for the 2015 'Lynx Black' advertising campaign has reached nearly one and a half million plays on YouTube, plus airplay from Dermot O'Leary (BBC Radio 2). His songs have featured in TV shows including Bones, Teen Mom, Made In Chelsea and others. Now he offers a taste of things to come with his latest track 'Anchor'.

'Anchor' Review:
'Anchor' is incredibly easy to listen to, and just as easy to become lost in, the emotive lyrics are reflected in the instrumental layers. The track holds a beautiful soundscape, whilst there are ebbs and flows throughout, which adds to the overall imagery of the song. Everything about this song is  wonderful and the music video also works alongside it perfectly. If you're a fan of Bon Iver or Daughter, you're bound to fall in love with Novo Amor's sound and if you need something to chill you out after a long day or a track to fall asleep to, this is just right. I'm already looking forward to hearing the next release!
