Check It Out #30 (07/12/16)

1. Talk To Me - Blonder
'Talk To Me' is the new track from Blonder and is a reminder that they've played with Blood Orange and Porches in the past. New York based Blonder create funky and catchy tracks with smooth melancholy vocals intertwining throughout. If you're looking for a new indie artist along the lines of Wet, The 1975 etc. to listen to - here you go!

2. Pictures Of You - Miniature Tigers
Another indie track for you, this time with country injected throughout. 'Pictures Of You' is taken from Miniature Tigers' latest album 'I Dreamt I Was A Cowboy'. It's full of dreamy synths, snazzy guitars and is a brilliant indie pop track with a slightly nostalgic feel to it.

3. Take - ECHOS
'Take' is taken from ECHOS' recently released self-titled EP, it's full of silky soundscapes and stunning vocals. The electronic duo started working together in 2013, and have since worked with the likes of Illenium and Crywolf, and garnered support from Mr Suicide Sheep and Indie Shuffle amongst others. Sharing the emotional depth of Florence and the Machine and taking inspiration from Daughter's sound, ECHOS have created a stunning EP which boasts musicality and I'm already excited for their next release (whatever that may be...)

4. Trigger - Otis English
August saw Otis English make his debut with 'Young Kids, Old Love', a breakout hit that quickly climbed to #1 on Hype Machine and was added to Spotify's New Music Friday playlist. The track also made it into the Global and Top 20 US viral charts, and was part of Apple Music's 'Best Of The Week'. 'Trigger' is his latest single and it's just as brilliant as his first, he's created a soulful and cinematic sound, which will continue onto his debut EP, which will be released soon...

5. Running - Brandish
'Running' is the first offering from Brandish's debut Self-Titled EP, it combines jangly guitar riffs and urban imagery and creates a fantastic track. Long-time mates, Hamish (vocals, guitar, keys), Brent (lead guitar), Rob (drums), and Ryan (bass) have stepped away from their fondness of guitar-driven alt. pop to explore the world of hip-hop...
